Portrait and Event Photography in New York & New Jersey

Sessions can be held in my Edgewater, NJ studio, outdoors, at your office, studio, or home across NYC, Northern New Jersey, Westchester/Yonkers, Long Island, and surrounding areas. I have a portable studio that can be set up at most locations. Travel outside this zone can be arranged upon request.

Choose outfits that reflect your personality and the image you want to project. Solid darker colors photograph beautifully. Professional makeup and hair are strongly recommended. Rest well the day before and eat healthy so you feel energized. I’ll guide you through poses, expressions, and styling during your session.

Consider the branding and culture of your company. Classic professional attire, clean dry-cleaned grooming, and simple accessories work best. Avoid busy patterns and logos. Bring a few clothing options so we can choose what photographs best.

Before your session, we schedule a detailed consultation to review your goals, brand message, wardrobe, colors, and overall visual style. This ensures the session is fully customized to your business or corporate identity. I also recommend preparing multiple looks and styles so we can create a diverse collection of images for different messages, platforms, and long-term marketing strategies. Whenever possible, I love to include “in action” images, which can feature a model, sometimes a client, interacting with your product or service to showcase your brand dynamically.

Consider how you want to be perceived, confident, creative, or authoritative, and bring 2–4 clean, well-fitted dry-cleaned outfits that reflect your industry. You may also bring any tools or props related to your work. The goal is to deliver powerful, strategic images that elevate your brand and support your professional goals across your website, media, and marketing platforms.

Coordinate outfits without matching exactly, although wearing the same color works nicely too. Darker vibrant tones like black, blue, red, violet, and green photograph best. Make sure children are well-rested and fed. I’ll help guide everyone so the session feels relaxed and natural.

Keep colors festive but cohesive. Classic winter tones like deep greens, reds, and black work well. Since holiday sets often have specific themes, I’ll advise you beforehand on wardrobe styling.

Yes. Mini sessions are offered seasonally and on select dates only. They are short, fun, and ideal for quick updates or special themes at a significantly reduced price.

Studio sessions provide controlled lighting and an editorial look, perfect for polished portraits or professional headshots. At-home sessions capture a more personal, lifestyle feel. Outdoor sessions use natural light and seasonal scenery. Some packages include two or three locations, allowing you to combine multiple styles in a single session for maximum versatility.

Portrait sessions range from 1 to 4 hours depending on the package you choose. Events typically run 2 to 4 hours or more. Newborn sessions (booked through Sweet Me Photography) last approximately 2 to 3 hours.

Choose clothing that aligns with your brand identity. Fitted, dry-cleaned pieces and darker colors work extremely well. Bring wardrobe changes so we can see what works best during the session.

Warm up beforehand and come with a few simple poses in mind. Bring at least two or three outfits to give us options. Avoid whites and very light colors. Arrive with professional hair and makeup done. Be well-rested, nourished, and hydrated so you feel energized and confident. My experience as an aerial fitness and aerial yoga instructor helps me guide strong, flattering poses that highlight your brand, strength, and movement.

Once you choose your package, a deposit secures your date and time. You’ll receive a confirmation, session guide, and preparation details in a contract. Final payment is made on or before the day of the session.

Because your session time is reserved exclusively for you, cancellations made within 48 hours may result in the loss of your deposit. Sessions may be rescheduled once with advance notice and based on availability. Same-day cancellations or no-shows are non-refundable. Weather-related outdoor sessions will always be rescheduled without penalty.

A proof gallery is a private link where you can view all your session images and select your favorites. Proofs are lightly processed, and chosen images receive full professional editing. You may also select a package that includes all images, delivering every fully edited photo without using a proof gallery.

Packages with proof images let you select only the photos you want professionally edited. Packages with all digital images deliver every photo from your session, fully edited, in high resolution and copyright-free for printing.

Yes. You may upgrade to a full-gallery package at any time.
